Professional Status & Scope of Service
Korban Biomechanics is an educational and performance-based consultancy led by Sean Sutrisno, a PhD Researcher specializing in Biomechanics.
Not a Medical Practice: Sean Sutrisno is not a licensed physician, physical therapist, or healthcare provider. The "Korban Method, Pillars, and Paths," including all Biometric Assessments, Movement Blueprints, and Personal Training/Physical Instruction/Coaching, are designed solely for movement optimization, structural efficiency, and performance enhancement.
No Medical Diagnosis or Rehabilitation: Our assessments utilize data collection tools to identify mechanical patterns. These measurements are for research and optimization purposes and are not diagnostic. We do not diagnose, treat, or claim to cure any medical condition. Our physical training/coaching sessions are performance-based and are not a substitute for clinical physical therapy or medical rehabilitation.
Assumption of Risk: By engaging in our services, the client acknowledges that physical training and biomechanical testing involve inherent risk of injury. Korban Biomechanics is not liable for injuries resulting from the voluntary application of suggested movement protocols, the use of assessment equipment, or participation in physical training sessions. The client represents that they are in good physical health and have been cleared by a physician for physical exercise.
California SB 577 Disclosure: In accordance with California Business and Professions Code Sections 2053.5 and 2053.6, you are hereby advised that the services provided are alternative or complementary to healing arts services licensed by the State of California. These services are not licensed by the state.
Consult Your Physician: Our services are intended to enhance your current physical situation and provide accurate consultation on movement mechanics. They are not a substitute for the advice, diagnosis, or treatment of your medical doctor. Always consult with your primary healthcare provider before beginning any new physical protocol.

Privacy & Data Stewardship

At Korban Biomechanics, we treat your movement data with the same precision we apply to our assessments. This policy outlines our commitment to the security and stewardship of your personal and biomechanical information.
1. Information We Collect
Personal Identifiable Information (PII): First and last names, email addresses, phone numbers, and physical residential or facility addresses.
Sensitive Personal Information (SPI): As a biomechanics consultancy, we collect biometric data, including motion-capture data, postural metrics, and video recordings.
Cookies & Digital Privacy: To maintain the high-end, secure experience of Korban Biomechanics, our website utilizes only "Strictly Necessary" cookies provided by our host, Squarespace.
No Third-Party Tracking: We do not use marketing, analytics, or tracking cookies (such as Google Analytics or Meta Pixels).
Necessary Cookies Only: These are essential for the website to function, such as securing contact forms and ensuring the site loads accurately on your device.
Your Experience: Because we do not track your behavior across the web, you will not be served "targeted" advertisements based on your visit to this site. We believe your movement and browsing data belong to you.
Physical Health & Readiness Data: We collect information regarding your physical exercise history and health readiness (e.g., PAR-Q responses) to ensure that training sessions are tailored to your current physical capabilities and safety requirements.
2. How We Use Your Data
Your information is used exclusively for:
Establishing and securing your private Client Portal.
Developing your personalized Movement Path and Plan.
Facilitating logistics for in-person assessments via Location Data (used only for travel and navigation).
Communicating updates or newsletters (strictly via opt-in).
Facilitating your Personal training/coaching sessions using logged progress and Physical Health data.
3. Data Retention & Destruction
We maintain records only for as long as necessary to provide our services and protect the integrity of our research data.
Biometric Data: Motion data and video are retained for the duration of your active "Path" to track progress.
Adult Records: All personal and biomechanical data is retained for a period of 7 years following the date of your last assessment to meet professional record-keeping and legal standards.
Minor Records: For athletes under the age of 18, records are retained until the individual reaches 19 years of age or for 7 years from the last date of service, whichever is longer.
Secure Destruction: Once the retention period expires, all digital files stored in Google Workspace are permanently deleted, and any physical records are shredded.
4. Data Storage, Security & Sharing
Secure Infrastructure: All data is stored utilizing Google Workspace’s secure, encrypted cloud infrastructure for Businesses. We employ professional-grade security protocols, including two-factor authentication and restricted access controls. Data is accessible only to Sean Sutrisno.
No Sale or Share of Data: We do not sell your personal or biometric information, nor do we share it with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Session Logs: Digital logs of training sessions, including performance metrics and structural observations, are stored within our secure Google Workspace environment and are subject to the same encryption and access controls as your Biometric Data.
Service Providers: We may share data with trusted third-party service providers (e.g., email processors) solely to facilitate our services. These providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for any other purpose.
5. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
As a California resident, you hold the following rights:
Right to Know/Access: Request details on the data we have collected.
Right to Delete: Request the permanent removal of your profile.
Right to Correct: Request corrections to any inaccurate personal information.
Right to Limit Use of Sensitive PI: You may request that we limit the use of your biometric data to only what is necessary to perform our services.

6. Corporate & Employee Data Handling
For corporate-sponsored assessments, individual biometric data and video analysis remain confidential between Korban Biomechanics and the individual employee. The Corporate Client (Employer) will receive only "Anonymized Aggregate Reports" regarding group trends. Individual "Movement Blueprints" will not be shared with the organization without explicit, separate written consent from the employee.
7. Protection of Minors & Parental Consent
Korban Biomechanics provides services to young athletes and minors only with the verifiable written consent of a parent or legal guardian.
Data Collection: We collect the same categories of PII and Biometric Data from minors as we do from adults, but only after a parent or guardian has signed our "Minor Consent & Liability Waiver."
Parental Rights: Parents or guardians have the right to review the data collected from their child, request its deletion, or withdraw consent at any time by contacting sean@korbanbiomechanics.com.
Terms of Service (ToS)
1. Terms of Engagement & Briefings
By submitting an online form or "briefing" via this website, you are requesting a professional consultation. This submission is an inquiry and does not establish a formal client relationship until a service agreement is signed and an initial session is officially scheduled.
2. In-Home Assessment Protocol & Safety
For all in-person assessments, the Client agrees to provide an accurate physical address and a safe, unobstructed environment for the duration of the session.
Equipment Liability: Korban Biomechanics utilizes specialized PhD-level data collection instruments (sensors, cameras, etc.). The Client assumes all risk related to the home environment and the presence of such equipment.
Right to Terminate: We reserve the right to decline or terminate an on-site assessment if the physical environment is deemed unsafe for the Founder or the equipment.
3. Nature of the "Path" and "Plan"
The "Movement Blueprints" and "Paths" provided are biomechanical recommendations based on recorded data. These are intended for movement optimization and efficiency and do not constitute a medical rehabilitation plan, physical therapy, or a medical diagnosis.
Personal Training & Coaching: In addition to biomechanical assessments, Korban Biomechanics offers
Personal Training and Movement Instruction. These sessions involve active physical exercise, strength training, and movement coaching. While these sessions are informed by biomechanical research, they are fitness-based in nature and are not clinical or rehabilitative therapy.
4. Intellectual Property (IP)
The "Korban Method," "The Four Pillars," and "The Three Paths" are the sole intellectual property of Korban Biomechanics. All reports and blueprints provided to the Client are for individual, non-commercial use only. Redistribution, resale, or public display of these proprietary methods is strictly prohibited.
5. Financial Terms & Cancellation
Payment: All fees are due upon receipt of the invoice.
Cancellation Policy: We require a 24-hour notice for the cancellation or rescheduling of any in-home assessment. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice or "No-Shows" will be subject to a 50% fee of the scheduled service cost.
Travel Fees: Korban Biomechanics primarily serves the San Bernardino County area (south of the mountains), Riverside, and Orange Counties. Requests outside this primary service area are subject to a travel surcharge.
6. Limitation of Liability & Assumption of Risk
The Client acknowledges that physical movement involves inherent risk. Korban Biomechanics and Sean Sutrisno shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, or perceived lack of progress resulting from the Client’s voluntary application of suggested movement protocols. The Client agrees to move within their own comfort and safety limits at all times.
Physical Instruction Risk: The Client understands that Personal Training involves strenuous physical activity. The Client represents that they are in good physical health and have no medical condition that would prevent their participation in exercise.
Client Responsibility: During training sessions, the Client is responsible for monitoring their own physical condition and must immediately stop any activity that causes pain or discomfort and inform the Founder.
7. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution (California Standard)
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California.
Arbitration: Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in San Bernardino County, California. This ensures a faster, private resolution compared to a public court trial.
8. Severability & Modifications
If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remainder of the agreement remains in full effect. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time by posting the updated version to this website.
Corporate & Group Engagements (B2B)
Service Scope: Corporate services are intended for organizational wellness and performance optimization. They do not constitute an occupational health or medical program.
Corporate IP License: The Corporate Client is granted a non-transferable license to use the provided materials for internal employee development only.
Indemnification: The Corporate Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Korban Biomechanics from any claims arising from the use of assessment data in employment decisions or for injuries occurring during voluntary participation in movement protocols.
